Cookie Policy
What cookies Voxinly uses, what they do, and how you can change your preferences. UK PECR compliant.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files that a website saves on your device when you visit. They let the site remember things — like whether you're logged in, what you've clicked, or whether you've accepted the cookie banner. The Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) require us to tell you about them and, except for strictly necessary cookies, get your consent before we set them.
The categories we use
Strictly necessary (always on)
These cookies are required for the site to work. They can't be switched off because without them you couldn't log in, complete a sign-up, or use the admin dashboard. They don't track you across other sites.
| Cookie | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|
| sb-access-token | Keeps you logged in (Supabase auth) | 1 hour (sliding) |
| sb-refresh-token | Refreshes your session without re-login | 30 days |
| vox_consent | Remembers your cookie preferences | 12 months |
| __cf_bm | Cloudflare bot management | 30 minutes |
Analytics (off by default)
Anonymised usage analytics so we can see which pages people visit, which features get used, and where things break. We only set these cookies if you accept analytics in the cookie banner.
| Cookie | Purpose | Expires |
|---|---|---|
| _va_session | Vercel Web Analytics session ID (anonymised) | Session |
| _va_id | Anonymised visitor identifier | 12 months |
Marketing (off by default)
Cookies set by advertising partners so we can measure which campaigns lead to sign-ups. We only set these if you accept marketing in the cookie banner. At launch we don't run any ad campaigns, so this category is reserved for future use.
The Voxinly widget on your site
When you embed the Voxinly widget on your own website, it sets a single first-party cookie (vox_session) to keep the chat going between page loads. This is a strictly-necessary cookie under PECR — no consent required for it to function — but you should mention it in your own cookie notice.
Changing your preferences
Click "Cookie preferences" at the bottom of any page on voxinly.com to open the banner again and change your choices. Your settings are remembered for 12 months. You can also block cookies entirely in your browser settings, but the site won't work properly without the strictly-necessary ones.
