Trust badges — showing Gas Safe, NICEIC and Checkatrade in the chat
Add your trade qualifications and review-platform badges to the Voxinly chat header so customers see you're properly accredited before they ask.
The first thing a customer looks for on a tradesman's website — even before the price — is whether you're legit. Gas Safe for gas work, NICEIC for sparks, OFTEC for oil, Checkatrade for everyone. These badges are why customers trust you over the bloke down the road. Putting them in your chat header means the very first thing a visitor sees when they open the widget is 'this firm is properly accredited'.
Step 1 — Open Trust settings
Navigate to /admin/chatbot → Trust
Scroll to the 'Trust badges' section. You'll see a list of supported schemes with toggles and an input for your registration number per scheme.
Step 2 — Enable your badges
Toggle the schemes you're a member of
Flip the toggle for each scheme you're properly registered under. Enter your registration number. The widget will display the scheme logo, your number, and (where available) a verification link.
Step 3 — Connect review platforms
Add your Checkatrade or Trustpilot profile
Paste your Checkatrade or Trustpilot profile URL. Voxinly fetches your live rating and review count daily and displays it in the chat header — '4.9 stars (147 reviews)'. No manual updating.
Add your Google Reviews
If you've got a Google Business Profile, paste the URL. Voxinly displays the live rating ('4.7 on Google') with a clickable link to your reviews.
Step 4 — Preview the chat header
The admin page shows a live preview of how the chat header will look with your badges. Up to four badges fit neatly; we recommend prioritising the trade-specific ones (Gas Safe, NICEIC) over the review-platform ones if you've got more than four.
Step 5 — When customers ask about credentials
Beyond the badges, Voxinly also handles credential questions in conversation. If a customer asks 'are you Gas Safe?', the chatbot answers with your registration number and a link to verify on the Gas Safe Register. Same for NICEIC, NAPIT, OFTEC. The exact wording is auto-generated from your trust configuration — no need to add credentials to your knowledge base separately.

FAQ
What if my scheme isn't listed?
Email support with your scheme name and registration body — we add new schemes regularly. In the meantime, add the credential to your knowledge base manually as a text note.
Does the badge link prove I'm legitimate?
It links to the official register so a sceptical customer can verify your number themselves. Voxinly doesn't impersonate the scheme — we just display the badge and link.
What happens if my Checkatrade rating drops?
The widget shows the current live rating. If your rating drops, the new number shows the next day. We don't smooth it out — that would be dishonest.
Can I show a custom badge — for example, a Which? Trusted Trader?
Yes — there's a 'custom badge' option where you upload an image and link. Use it for any legitimate scheme not in the supported list above.
